Our background
GB Connect is a family-run business by father and son, Mick and Tom Barker
Tom has been interested in the audio visual industry from an early age. This has inspired him to achieve many accreditations including CAI+ status, Government Trustmark Award, Safety at Heights Qualification, and has become a Nest Pro Installer. Some of Tom’s favourite challenges currently include HD systems, the advancement of Wi-Fi networking for both business and residential properties, and the progressing capabilities of emerging technology such as Smart Home systems.
Mick initially started the business primarily focusing on satellites and aerials and has enjoyed the progression and diversity in technology in recent years. He has always loved technology, researching new products and discovering unique solutions to challenging situations. Over his 20 years of telecommunications experience, Mick has gained various qualifications including CAI+ membership, Government Trustmark award, Safety at Heights Qualification, and is a Nest Pro Installer.
